Spinoni
Roundup
The Spinoni Roundup started in the summer of 2000 when a few Spinoni friends gathered at Spins of Dell Creek (then Grouse Rouster) in Reedsburg, WI to simply enjoy the dogs, have a picnic lunch, and 'hang out' together. It proved to be a nice way of keeping in touch with folks who purchased puppies from the kennel. It also enabled the owner, Mike McCormick, to see how his pups were developing; he learned a lot about his breeding program from seeing the dogs as they grew up.
The next summer, all Grouse Rouster dogs and owners were invited. Each year the invitation list has grown as other Spinoni fans heard about the event and wanted to attend. It's quite possible there are more dogs than humans at our Roundups. Some people aren't content with just one Spinone! There are enough dogs to get a good flavor for the breed. It's a good time to meet the breeders and ask questions. Eventually, Spinoni friends in Idaho asked to host the Roundup so the location alternates between Wisconsin and Idaho.
