Rocky Mountain Roundup
The Teton Valley, Driggs Idaho,
provided a beautiful setting for the 2004 Roundup. It was a great
opportunity to meet some of the wonderful Spinoni and their owners from
the western part of the county. The weather was perfect as you can see
from the photos below. A cool, clear mountain stream provided a nice dip
for the Spins to cool off in the afternoon, when the temperature climbed
into the upper 80's! The best part was there were no mosquitoes! All the
folks from Wisconsin could really appreciate that! The dogs really enjoyed
the company of other Spinoni; they even accepted the little St. Bernard
puppy who showed up.
"The food was terrific! From
western BBQ beef to Diana's homemade lasagna! A special thanks to all the
people who helped pull this together! The grounds had a nice Western touch
thanks to Barbara. The grooming demo, hunt demo and agility demos were
interesting and informative. Thanks to those folks for imparting
their wisdom and experience. " Mike & Marge
"We would like to offer a
special thank you to all of those kind
friends (& their fur covered companions) who helped make the 4th
Annual
Rocky Mountain Grouse Rouster's Round up possible. We could not have
done it alone.
For those who could not make it, you're invited next year to share in
the fun filled events. We had a full day of fun in the sun. It started with a informative
talk & demonstration on the Spinone standard and grooming. Next came
another talk on basic training, hunt training and a short hunting
demonstration with a Spinone & German Wirehair. Next came a fabulous
meal consisting of lasagna, Beef brisket with Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ,
potato salad, fruit & vegetable plate and much more. Followed by an Agility lesson & demonstration moving into the evening with the good
old
cowboy camp fire.
Again thank you for all the help. With out you it would not have been
possible."
