July 2007  Grouse Rouster's Avanti was a terrific hunting dog, field companion, and family pet. She gave her hunting buddies, German Wirehairs, some tough competition! She was the dam of our 4th litter. Avanti had a great fall season last year. Jim even entered her in a relay-type competition in spring; she had the best dog scores for the tournament. She hardly ever missed a bird, giving those wirehairs a run for their money. A great dog, who will be greatly missed.

Grouse Rouster's Kempo

June 2007 Grouse Rouster's Kempo "Thought you guys would like to see Kempo's haul out in South Dakota (age 10).  Kempo has only failed once in 11 years to find a downed bird and if I would have left him out longer he probably would have gotten it. He has tracked  wounded birds over a quarter mile. When other dogs would fail, hunters would ask me to send in Kempo-everytime he would bring them out!"   Joe
