Avanti remembered in

| It is so sad
to lose one of 'our' dogs, especially a beautiful Spinone like Avanti. She
enjoyed many days in the field with Jim. He said she very seldom missed
her bird. She would have been 12 years old in January 2008. She had a
great life with a family who loved her. I can still remember whelping her
litter D. I let her outside to go potty and she dropped the first puppy
near the shed. I screamed for Mike to hurry and help me get her back to
the whelping box downstairs. We called Jim but he had to take his son to a
baseball game. The family got there just in time for the last puppy,
Moses, to be delivered! We had pizza and orange pop in our basement to
celebrate and just admired those babies! She was a very sweet girl and a
great mother to her 8 pups. She was a great dog! |
