9/2/06 Just thought I'd send a couple new pictures. They're from our long, nightly exercise/explore sessions in the fields and parks next door. He's doing great. Learning new things every day, and getting bigger every day. An unofficial weigh-in earlier this week had him at 19.5 lbs. The next things on our list is changing his one testing habit of going on all cylinders the last hour or so of the night before bed. He's like the energizer bunny loaded up with caffeine about that time, every single night.
8/14/06 He did really well on the ride home. Just sat on my lap and slept. Did pretty well overnight. We put him in the crate and put it next to our bed. He cried a little, but it wasn't unbearable. He woke up around 5 so I took him out and fed him. He's spent a lot of the day sleeping, but we've been outside lots to explore and potty. So far, so good. He's a hungry guy. He had noted where the dog food was sitting on the counter and went over to it and started to bark this afternoon. It wasn't quite the time I'd planned to feed him, so I tried to keep him distracted for a while. I had him on a leash today too and he did very well. He kind of thought it was odd to have something tugging at his neck at first, but he's behaving really nicely on it so far. Thanks so much for all of the time you spent with us and for all of the info you provided us with. It's all been very helpful.
