Comments from new puppy owners

Hi, I have to tell you that Cosmo is the most easy going dog I have ever had. Some whimpering on the way home and that was it. Sleeps all the way through the night. Plays full time with Hamlet or by himself. Smart as a whip. He's already starting to respond to his name and come. Loves attacking leaves and points at everything that moves. We certainly look forward to his development and will keep you posted. We find Kempo climbing up on chairs to get some relief from the "affection" which we have never seen before---Kempo doesn't expend energy unless he absolutely has to. Thanks again, Joe

Our puppy (we named him Mogan) is wonderful. He adapted well to life in Michigan. So many people have said that they can't believe how calm and well behaved he is for a puppy, not to mention cute. It's so fun to watch him explore; he's kept his nose to the ground. One of the most priceless moments was seeing the look on his face after he stuck it into a little pond we have. All the fish came up to nibble on his whiskers and he was quite taken aback. Of course now the fish are old news, but there is always a new adventure. We'll send pictures as soon as we can. Pam

Good Morning Mike & Marge, What can I say???? What a joy Siena is. She is so special and has already stolen our hearts. She traveled really well and has settled into the farm. She thinks she is a big dog. She plays and runs with our labs and is retrieving and swimming. She is giving our Cocker Spaniel a run for it. They bark and play. She is enjoying the fields, she runs up and down the trails, romps and plays in the tall grass, chases birds and butterflies. My flower beds are taking a beating, she thinks this is her own personal playground. She went to the vet on Monday for a check up, she weighs 15 pounds. My husband and dad are very impressed with her. She's very quick to learn. We have not had an accident in the house. When she wants to go outside she goes to the door. I'm so proud of her. We have her retrieving a small dummy on lead, as she thinks this is great fun and we should chase her. We make it fun for her and do this only twice a day for a couple of minutes a day. She's coming to the whistle and just enjoying all the big dogs and farm. As soon as we get her registered with AKC we will register her with UKC. My dad says she'll be the first Spinone to champion with UKC. He's pretty taken with her, that is saying something, as he has only chosen to train retrievers. Jim has taken some pictures and as soon as we get them downloaded I'll send you some. Thank you so much for Siena. We'll stay in touch. My mom and I enjoyed meeting both of you. Hugs and licks from Polly and Siena

Luigi is doing just great! He was wonderful on the plane and car trip home. No accidents, can you believe that! The security people at the airport just loved him, so did the kids. Luigi is sure keeping Joan and I on our toes. He's quite active and has a lot of energy. We are certainly enjoying him and he seems to be enjoying life in the mountains, a lot of new things to discover and you know they are not very curious! Ha! We will keep you informed of his progress. Thank you so much for the AKC paperwork. Also, our boy's housebreaking is going fairly well. He stands in front of the door but does not bark so I guess I am being trained! His walking on a leash is coming along well for a little guy. Sal

It was nice visiting with you. We live on a small 40 acre private spring-fed lake which is crystal clear. We took Nico down to the lake on Sat. and again on Sun. He is hesitant. The other dogs went right in but he is cautious which I would expect since he just met the other dogs and is still acclimating. He doesn't like the kennel. When we leave the house to go shopping, we put him in and he yelps until we get home. We put him in the kennel in the evening at about 10 pm the first day he got up at about 2am. This morning at about 4 am. With any luck, tomorrow will be at about 6 am. We figure it will take some time for him to get used to the kennel. Les
